The Second Coming of Christ as Foretold by Jesus Himself

1. The Gospels of Matthew chapter 24 and Mark Chapter 13 is an account of the parable of the second coming of Christ with signs to be noted in the fulfillment of this prediction by Jesus.

Many followers of Christ understand the second coming of Christ literally as foretold by Jesus. We expect to see our Lord coming from heaven in the sky from the four corners of the world in flesh. This is a wrong understanding and interpretation of this parable of Jesus.

This parable is the apocalyptic and eschatological teachings of Jesus Christ. That is, it deals with things that would happen in the future, and the prediction of the end of the world that would coincide with the Parousia or the second advent of Christ.

2. This is one of the numerous misinterpretations of the word of God and mistakes in Christendom. Many are feed with these falsehood and were misled. You and I were commissioned by Christ to educate His flock with the true interpretation of His words. Literal interpretation of the word of God by believers do not always give the correct message in the word.

3. Parables arrest the mind of the individual hearer or reader in such a way that it forces him to think seriously about the truth being imparted and also to act upon it. The intention is to stir and awaken the mind to the recognition of a particular situation and challenge it to action. Parables demand considerable thought for understanding and precisely because of this Jesus kept on saying: “Those who have ears to hear let them hear.”

For the same reason Jesus said unto them: “Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.” Mark 4:11-12 KJV.

This saying does not suggest that Jesus intended to hide the meaning of his teachings from people, but to invoke the power of reasoning of the wise and the desirable minds for understanding, as against those who lack understanding and are unable to discern the truth in the parables. This means that not all preachers, scholars, evangelists and intellectuals can interpret the meaning of His word precisely and accurately; except those who are graced with the assistance of the Holy Spirit.

4. For emphasis let’s look at the Gospel of St Matthew 24:29-31, it reads:
29 – Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 – And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 – And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

5. To interpret correctly the true messages in the word of God, the assistance of the Holy Spirit is very essential and critical. Therefore, the assistance of the Holy Spirit was sought for in divine meditation, and the holy angels of God who are closer to mankind were sent. The holy angels explained the meaning and correct interpretation of this prophesy of Jesus Christ, from three points of view, they submitted thus:

6. ” As it is of Jesus – He spoke to his disciples in parables and it is only those among them who are wise that can comprehend and truly interpret all that he said.

The second coming of Christ as narrated to them by Christ himself cannot mean that he is coming back physically a second time, as this will negate his teachings while on earth. There are many citations to buttress this: In many of his teachings he has said ” Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am with them.”

Furthermore, he had told his disciples “I am with you even unto the end of the world.” He said “I am with…. Not I will come to be.
These are direct statements which confirm that he has come and will remain with whoever believes in Him.”
Michael, Gabriel, Samael, Raphael, Sachiel, Anael, Caphiel.

7. Secondly, the Holy Spirit through the angels of God educated us further it reads:

8. “Jesus Christ was born in a particular town, he grew up in certain places and went to certain cities, not every city of the world.
However, today, the gospel of Jesus is in every nook and corner. If this be so, his expected coming is not such by which he will appear in the Sky and all eyes shall see him, as recorded in the above passage.

What this parable is talking about is that the effect of his first coming shall now be seen by all in full manifestation and in glory. This shall be a time when there is no further humiliation and crucifixion of him, but a time of heralding the new born period of God on earth.

The sun, the moon and the stars are all Light providers, and these ones shall surrender their power, for the wicked to be removed from the surface of the earth before a new dawn and a rebirth of a new world.
These things are mystery and only the wise can comprehend.” Gabriel, Raphael.

9. Thirdly, the Angels of God enlighten us further on the second coming of Christ in relation to God’s new kingdom. It reads:

10. ” EVENTUAL MANIFESTATION OF THE KINGDOM OF THE FATHER.
Jesus came to the world to redeem the world and prepare a kingdom for his Father. The people of the world rejected him and did not believe in his doctrines.

However, for the sake of the few who believe, and for God’s purpose and plans to be made manifest, God has, before the departure of Jesus decided that His kingdom would be established on the surface of the earth, where the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit will descend to reign in that kingdom; with the saints below to create a holy nation.

This then will be his second coming, however, he would not be coming alone and in the manner which the world is expecting.
This is because the kingdom of God is already here and in the life of every individual.

It now depend on how each one, particularly you in His Order make use of this kingdom to showcase His purpose.
As you see, every aspect of his prophesy has been fulfilled and are still being fulfilled.

God in His miraculous way has established the Holy Order with the charge to go and proclaim the New Kingdom of God – which according to the prophesy is the final phase of Jesus coming.

To expect a sounding trumpet and shout in the sky to herald the coming of Christ is a great fallacy which is not correct.
All these being said, you in His Order must know that the tasks before you are enormous and you cannot afford to joke with it. It is a continuous task until the end of the world ( which may not come).

The grace of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit remain and abide with you, for you to be successful in this commission.” Michael, Gabriel, Samael, Raphael, Sachiel, Anael, Caphiel.

11. Since Jesus Christ has promised to be in the company or gathering of those who call on his name in humility and faith, he has been visiting the Holy Order in spirit, not in flesh to strengthen His Holy Order for the great task of propagating God’s New Kingdom on earth, which shall translate to his second coming together with his Father and the Holy Spirit to perpetually dwell on earth.

12. Why was Jesus Christ born like a normal child and not descended from heaven as the Son of God? This is a very important question to buttress the fact that Jesus Christ shall not appear in the sky as his second coming. If Jesus Christ descended from the sky as a baby instead of being born like a normal child, many people will not relate with him. He will be seen as a spirit not as a human being. But to show that he is a complete human being in flesh, he was conceived and delivered like a normal baby, even though his was of immaculate conception.

If we understand this wisdom of God, then it will be easy for us to understand the interpretation of the parable of the second coming of Christ. Since he has shed the flesh and become a spiritual being, he will continue to visit and be with his followers in spirit, no more in flesh.

13. THE END TIME AND THE NEW KINGDOM OF GOD
In Matthew 24:14 Jesus declared “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”
Most Christians believe that at end time, the world will seize to be or will be destroyed, for a new world will emerge. This cannot be interpreted literally.

14. What is end time and new world order. The Bible gave the account of Jesus’s teaching on the eschaton, the end of the world, that there shall be nations rising against nations, desolating sacrilege, persecution of the believers, false prophets claiming to be Christ, men’s love will grow cold and disasters of high magnitude. Many believers take this literarily to mean that this world shall come to an end, and God shall create another world and humans.

The end time is here now, this is evident in the present state of the world. However, the believers in God Almighty that are upright and steadfast in the Lord shall be spared to correct the mistakes of the world, build a new world order, and progress in divinely. Evils shall be banished, wickedness shall be exterminated, disobedience shall be overcome, and sin shall be a thing of the past.

15. As foretold, there are tribulations, wars, blood shed, unimaginable disasters, falsehood and extortion in holy places, killings in the name of God, ritual killings and human sacrifices in the world now. By these God is bringing to the end the rule of evils that have perverted this world, to establish the reign of His new Kingdom in the new world holy order. God and His heavenly Sons shall fellowship with mankind on earth, and the earth shall be holy and sanctified.

16. We have no hiding place, the world of human race is looking forward to true believers, for the manifestation of the New Kingdom of God depends on our sincere propagation in thoughts, words and deeds. This is a divine commission and a sacred charge for all followers of Christ to obey and fulfill successfully. The time is now!

17. Let us pray: Father, God, Your plan for the world of mankind is to be Thy foot stool, where all attributes of Your Kingdom dwell. This was designed to show Your special love for mankind, the glory of Thy creation. Let Thy will be done on earth, as it is in the celestial realm, and Your reign be everlasting dominion now and forevermore. Amen.

May the blessing of God the Father, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit remain, dwell and abide with you from now, henceforth and forthwith. Amen.

The Laws and The Grace of God

The laws of God are immutable and self-operating. The grace of God is equally available for His children.

Many sects in Christendom belief that the grace of God afforded man by Jesus Christ have made the law no longer biding on man.

What is the view of God and correct understanding of Paul’s teaching in His Epistles?

Modern Christianity postulates that obedience to the Law does not earn salvation, therefore, man no longer need to obey the Law. However, this is alien to Biblical teachings.

Many Christians point to Paul’s teachings that there is no justification in obeying the law. Epistle of Paul to the Galatians chapter 2 verses 16 & 17 is an example, it says:

“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Jesus Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sins? God forbid.”

Paul here is emphasizing on the law of circumcision, which is the covenant of God with the Jews, and should not necessarily be extended to other nations. These verses is a clear message from Paul that even if we believe and seek the grace of Christ and we still wallow in sins, we are not of Christ, because Christ is not associated with sins. The lesson here is that sin is disobedience to the law, logically anyone who is a sinner is disobedient to the law of God. We must first and foremost do away with sins to abide with Christ. That is, law must be obeyed but not the circumcision law that was specifically appointed for the Jews by God.

In Romans 3:31 Paul went further to say:

“Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.”

Paul brought his arguments to conclusion that grace and faith can never nullify the law, that in actual fact, they sustain it. Unfortunately, many Christians fail to realise the importance of Paul’s conclusion on this issue, for the simple fact that it is a vivid assertion that grace or faith do not do away with the law. The Holy Bible must be interpreted correctly not by the flesh, but by the infusion and knowledge of the Holy Spirit.

Paul in Romans 6:1-2 also said:

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?”

Paul went further and asserted in Romans 6:15 that:

“What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!

Should we continue to sin by disobeying the laws of God, yet we want the grace of Christ to increase in our lives? Paul said no, God forbid. Or should we continue to sin against God, because we are under the grace of Christ? Where laws exist, man must obey. The grace of God afforded mankind through the crucifixion of Jesus Christ is an antidote to assist man to obey the laws of God, not to discard the laws.

One of the sections of Scripture that clearly reveals Jesus’ teaching on Law and grace is the one in which an adulteress was dragged before Him to see if He would pronounce the penalty upon her demanded by the law—death by stoning (John 8:1-11).

Pressed by the accusers to make a judgment, He told them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first” (verse 7).

When all the accusers had left without condemning the woman, Jesus, the only One who truly was sinless, did not condemn her either. “Go and sin no more,” He told her (John 8:11).

What did Jesus teach about law? This is revealed in the above account. He did not say to the woman that she was free to carry on as before, as if she hadn’t been pardoned. He wanted her to change her way of living—to repent. Essentially, He said, “Go and sin no more”.

The word “sin” reveals the answer. Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.(1 John 3:4). Jesus told her to live from then on by the 10 Commandments. This teaching is confirmed by other examples in the Gospel accounts.

Jesus revealed to the wealthy young man that to gain salvation required keeping the laws of God as written in the Moses’ 10 commandments (Matthew 19:16-21). Jesus personally kept all the 10 Commandments, including the Sabbath law (Luke 4:16).

Clearly, Jesus taught his disciples and everyone by example that God has set a reasonable standard of behaviour for His children. That standard is the 10 Commandments.

When the Pharisees tried to trick Christ into saying something against the law, He did not deny the law its place. “Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, ‘Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?’

“Jesus said to him, ‘“You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: “You shall love your neighbour as yourself” (Matthew 22:35-39). Here Jesus quoted Old Testament scriptures that summarized the message of the 10 Commandments.

By this explanation Jesus Christ did not say that his subsequent death shall negate the laws of God. Christ kept the 10 Commandments, and He taught others to do the same. And that leaves people who have a bias against the law in a difficult position. How do they reconcile Christ’s teaching to abide by the law with the notion that Paul taught that grace does away with the law?

It is a wrong understanding that has caused many to mistakenly assume the apostle Paul modified and changed Christ’s teachings. Yet Paul was quite clear on this subject.

In conclusion hear the verdict of God through the Holy Spirit, it reads:

“Man, from time immemorial have always found excuses or defence to escape punishment for going contrary to the rule and laws of God.

When Adam disobeyed God and he was confronted, he blamed his shortcomings on the woman given to him by God.

So has man continued to find excuses, to be able to do what he desires and to escape the punishment of God?

God saw all these and chose to send Jesus to the world to die for the sins of man and to erase this notion from man; yet man again anchor his excuse to sin against God on this special grace of the coming of Jesus, under the pretext that Christ has come and abolish all the laws which holds man captive to sins and wrong doing.

This is a wrong notion, for Jesus himself spoke in the book of Matthew 5:17 concerning this that he has not come to change or abolish the laws of his father, but to perfect them; that is to enforce them and bring them to the understanding and adherence of His people.

To imagine or to assume that the coming of Christ has put an end to the laws of God is a ruse and a misconception.

The Ten Commandments are as effective and as useful as it was in the time of Moses.

Jesus Christ summarised these in a few words ‘Love the Lord your God; Love your fellow man.’

When a man loves God, he shall not go foul of His laws, and thereby live without sin.

When a man loves his fellow man, he shall not do anything to harm or hurt him, again, thereby live without sin.

Where then is the abolition of the law?

How has the summary of Jesus’s command changed or corrected the laws that have been before him?

The devil always seeks for ways to deceive man and to bring ridicule to him and it is only by being disciplined and spirit filled that you can see into the game plan of the devil and avoid it.

Whatever was the teaching of Paul in the contest was either misquoted or misunderstood for God is not an author of confusion and His laws are constant. Yes, grace abounds and He, by grace can overlook some of man’s shortcomings, but that does not mean that man should take liberty for license to do what is wrong before Him.

Learn from this. Raphael.”

The grace of God afforded man through Christ, did not negate obeying the laws of God by man. Our faith in Christ coupled with the grace of God is an antidote to disobedience to God’s laws. These give man the courage and confidence to overcome the antics of the devil and the weakness of the flesh. Grace and laws of God work in harmony for man’s successful earthly sojourn. Without the grace of God man cannot do God’s will (obey His laws), without doing God’s will on earth, the world will be under the will of the devil.
Let us pray: Lord, we come to you in grateful Adoration. Be Thou exalted, O God. May the Holy One open to us the doors of His Divine Grace to be able to uphold His laws. May we have encounters with His word, power, glory and divine works. May His light shine upon us and remove every darkness and dark areas in our lives. May we be in harmony with the will of our Heavenly Father, now and forevermore. Amen.

The Exalted Name of Emmanuel

My text is taken from the epistle of St Paul to the Philippians, Philippians 2: 9-11. It reads:

“Because of this, God raised him up to the heights of heaven and gave him a name that is above every other name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Ihinrere Paulu si awon ara Filipi 2:9-11, o wipe:

” Nitorina Ọlọrun pẹlu si ti gbe e ga gidigidi, O si ti fi orukọ kan fun u ti o bori gbogbo orukọ:

Pe, li orukọ Jesu ni ki gbogbo ekun ki o ma kunlẹ, awọn ẹniti mbẹ li ọrun, ati awọn ẹniti mbẹ ni ilẹ, ati awọn ẹniti mbẹ nisalẹ ilẹ.

Ati pe ki gbogbo ahọn ki o maa jẹwọ pe, Jesu Kristi ni Oluwa, fun Ogo Ọlọrun Baba.”

Brethren in the Lord, from this text it is evident that the message of apostle Paul is that after the successful completion of the divine task of salvation for mankind by Jesus, God the Almighty Father exalted and placed Jesus at a higher position. Due to this elevation, by the mention of the name of Jesus all knees must bow and all tongues must confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

The Holy Bible testified to the fact that after death, Jesus resurrected on the third day, he appeared to his disciples and later ascended to the heavens.

The account of Apostle Paul in this text is a narration of what happened after the ascension of Jesus. God made him to sit at His right hand and proclaimed him a co-ruler in God’s kingdom.

In this exalted position Jesus assumed the tittle of Christ – which means the Light- to lead the way, to be the pathfinder, to illuminate, to redeem man from this hostile world and to instruct on the truth through the Holy Spirit.

In this exalted position Jesus also became the first Son of God, who sits at the right hand of the Father- to intercede for mankind and assist God in running the affairs in God’s kingdom both in the heavens, on earth and in the abys or hell.

Who is this Jesus Christ to whom all these attributes are ascribed? Many people both Christians and non-Christians often ask this valuable question. To all true believers and followers of Christ we must get the answer to this question right. The Pharisees, the Sadducees and the Scribes in spite of their exposure, education and knowledge of the scriptures failed to understand who Jesus Christ truly was. Unfortunately, this trend is still visible among we Christians till today.

Jesus, the Christ is the greatest soul that ever lived or still living on this planet earth. His determination, humility, dedication, love and obedience to God showed him as the most successful of all the souls, creatures and Sons of God.

By his birth he is seen as a man, the son of Holy Mary.

By his immaculate conception, he is seen as the Son of God.

By his life, he lived like human being, and by his experience of life he showed man the true way to rise from his fall as the crown of God’s glory.

By his teachings he lived a practical example of what he taught and also revealed new knowledge about God the Father and His Kingdom.

By his passion he willingly suffered for the sins he never committed, even without any ill-will towards his persecutors, just to fulfil God’s verdict.

By his death on the cross he accepted to be a criminal, though innocent, he made himself a sacrificial victim, the Passover lamb for the sins of the world.

By his descending into hell he subdued Satan’s reign, and liberated the captives from the bondage of sins.

By his resurrection from the dead he established Christianity as a way of life on a solid rock of Christ Light.

By his ascension to glory he sat by the right hand of God and rule over the dead and the living, angels and the hosts of heaven, darkness and it’s agents to the honour and glory of God the Father.

Taking cognisance of this higher and exalted position, it is very important to give honour and due respect to the name of Jesus Christ. Let us remember that the Bible says by this name all knees must bow, while all tongues must confess that he is Lord in heavens, on earth and in hell or realm of darkness.

But unfortunately this is not the case with the modern day Christians. It is this highly exalted name of Jesus Christ that is most taken for granted and abused by Christians.

It is this name above all names in heaven, earth and hell that Christians must hold in high esteem, that we unfortunately mention at every sentence in prayer without due honour to this name.

It is this exalted name of Jesus Christ that we Christians shout without reverence. Followers of Christ believe that the louder this sacred name is proclaimed, the quicker and expressly prayers are answered.

It is this sacred name of our Lord Jesus Christ that Christians use ignorantly for cutting cakes at functions.

It is this holy name of Jesus Christ that most of us even call in vain. By these are we honouring this exalted name of Christ? No, not at all. This is saddening and quite unfortunate.

Whereas, a traditional worshiper for example will sing pedigree or eulogy of sango, oya, osun, ogun and other lesser deities when invoking their powers.

Whereas, Moslems will call with respect and pay homage when the name of Prophet Mohamed or other Prophets are mentioned.

But we Christians will shout and call the name of Jesus Christ, the name higher and above all other names of prophets, gods and goddess, deities, entities, angels and other creation of God in total disrespect, and use this sacred name for frivolous things in pretext that we are invoking the efficacy and power in this sacred name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The way forward for we Christians is first to be aware and acknowledge that the name of Jesus Christ is a holy name, a name above all other names of God’s creatures. Apart from the names of God Almighty, Jesus Christ takes precedence over all other names both on earth and the heavens.

Secondly, the name of Jesus Christ must not be used for frivolities like cutting of cakes, jokes, vain words, etc.

Thirdly, we must give full reverence to this name in our prayers, if we must use it to ask for a request from God, it must be done with respect, honour, proper approach, concentration, purity, clear conscience and due reverence. Calling this name in every sentence of our prayer is uncalled for, this name if we must use it ought to come at the very end of such prayer and following the rules to be able to appropriate the efficacy in the name.

Fourthly, this name must not be debased by shouting. When Jesus prayed, he approached God in reverence not by shouting at his Father, but with the confidence in Father-Son relationship. Since we are the sons of God, by the redemptive blood of Jesus Christ, we also have the Father-Son relationship with God. It is not by shouting to high heavens that prayers are heard. God sees the inner mind of men and knows our requests, therefore, we must approach Him in reverence through the exalted name of Emmanuel, Jesus the Christ.

It is true that we are in the period of grace, but there are laid down principles and rules that must be followed for answered prayers. The Bible says we cannot continue to wallow in sins and expect grace to flourish. The name of Jesus, the Christ must not be continually debased and abused by Christians, while we expect to access the power and efficacy invested. Those who have ears let them hear.

Let us pray: God Almighty, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, maker of all things and judge of all men, we have sinned by our over zealousness in disrespecting the name of Christ, the name You set above all names in heavens and earth. Forgive us and grant us the grace to do Thy will in the beauty of holiness and righteousness all the days of our lives, by the special authority in the precious name, Emmanuel, Jesus the Christ. Amen.
